The story of David is a perfect example of what can happen when we forsake that battle at hand. I think King David fell so hard with bathsheba because he wasn’t where he was supposed to be. 2 Samuel chapter 11 says “Then it happened in the spring, at the timewhen kings go out to battle…”.
