“Give thanks to the Lord Almighty, for the Lord is good; His love endures forever.”
We are a nation which gets things done and possessing things right now. The technology of today is incomprehensible compared to what I grew up with. We felt like kings when we got our first 10” television set. Now everyone walks around with phones attached to their ears and talking on them wherever they are.
You see deals being made while people do their grocery shopping or watch their children swim in the pool. I used to wonder when I heard someone speaking in the store and there was no one to there. It never occurred to me that they were on the phone.
We have access to so much information – maybe too much. This “get ‘er done” society insists that we take everything into our own hands and forget about the one who provides for all our needs. We need to take some time to realize that we are not the masters of our own domain.
Thank God today for the gifts He has placed in our lives and remember that without the knowledge He planted in man’s physical makeup at creation, there would be no technology. Things made by man will soon pass away and be replaced by something new, but His love endures forever.
