In the 15 or so years I have been discussing the Christian faith in various online forums the biggest lesson I have learned is that my faith is
And yours can be too.
Go ahead, read every book, paper, and blog you can find.
Ask every question you can think of. Watch every YouTube video, take every University class you can, talk to everyone you know…
If you are willing to be objective, you will find that Christianity is overall more consistent with evidence and logic than any other worldview.
The Bible makes it clear that believers should:
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'”
– Matthew 22:37
God doesn’t want you to disregard logic, check your brains at the church door, or just to take it all on blind faith because the Bible or some pastor told you to.
If you read the Bible, it never speaks of blind leaps of faith, hope against hope faith, I hope it’s true but I’m really not sure faith, religious wishful thinking faith, faith that is contrary to facts, or faith that it might be true for you but not for everyone else.
In fact, the apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians that if Christ has not actually risen [he wants you to KNOW this is a historical FACT] from the dead, the faith is worthless and futile.
Bottom line here is this. If you place your faith in anything other than the solid rock of Christ, it will suffer the same fate as a house built on sand—inevitably it will collapse.
