My troupe of young actors had a winner on their hands as they opened “NARNIA REVISITED” and adaptation of the C.S. Lewis classic last night. I love this story because within its pages are woven the redemptive love of our Savior – the Lion of Judah. The triumph of good over evil is a timeless hope for humanity and that’s what this story is al about.
I never fail to be amazed by the talent and insight of my students. They have managed to capture the essence of forgiveness and God’s love through His sacrifice for us. I am indeed blessed to have them in my life. They give this old lady hope for our future generations.
We hear many stories of the self absorption of our youth today, that it’s truly refreshing to see that they do get it – they understand that we can’t do this life alone. We need someone to help us – One who will take our place, carry our burdens and love us unconditionally.
The adventures of Narnia show that good will win in the end. The Bible also tells us that God has overcome the evil of this world and in the end He wins. We must never lose sight of that truth.
Even when it looks as though there is no hope in this country, in this world – we can be assured that the victory over death has been won and that God remains in control of all that happens.
