TRAIN YOUR CHILDREN WELL

train-up-a-child

The older I get, the faster the world seems to be moving and the less time there is for the important things. Is it because I’m getting older and I’m beginning to slow down so much?

I remember raising a family and we were often stretched in 3 different directions. We didn’t always have time for family devotions. Most of our discussions about God were held while driving from one place to another and at church.

Moms and dads of today’s generation should be applauded for what they give to their children spiritually. The world moves so fast and there often isn’t time to plant these seeds.  Through that planting, they’re preparing them for life situations; giving them tools which will help them face adversity, pain, loss and also hope and joy; they’re shielding them from the stabs of bullying, immorality and false teachings; and they’re giving them the best gift they can as parents.

This can easily be done by just talking about God’s place in our lives. As a child is trained in those truths, they will be more prepared for life than even the most brilliant of children. It all begins in the home. If we are to bring forth another generation of believers, those Christian values must continue to be nurtured. Teach them to pray.  Tell them how to rely on God in all situations.  Show by examples in your own life.

Thanks to the parents who keep Christ alive through their children and praise and honor to God who gives them the faith to do so.
