Roaming with Romans | Part 1

Romans1_16.jpg

Father in heaven, in the Name of Jesus, we thank You that by the  power of Your Holy Spirit we are able to present our requests before You as we remember one another through prayer.

Father, we pray a spirit of encouragement will fall upon Your people, for we are not  ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for He is the power of God by whom we have been reconciled back to You through His blood atonement on our behalf (See Habakkuk 2:4).

Father, we thank You, that the blood of Jesus justifies those of us who have placed our trust and faith in Him as our Lord, God, Savior, and Master who rules and reigns over kingdom, tribe, nation, and tongue.

And we, who are justified through Your Son’s blood atonement on our behalf, must live by faith, for faith is not an option, it is a requirement.
“For Your wrath, Father, is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for have shown it to them.’

‘For since the creation of the world, Father, Your invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even Your eternal power and God head (Father God, God the Son who appeared in the flesh as Son of God and Son of Man, and Your Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of Christ who is with us today) so that none are without excuse.’

And because they knew of Your existence Father, they who are in the world refused to glorify You, nor are they thankful, for they have become futile in their thoughts, and their hearts love the darkness more than the light, for the light exposes the darkness’ (See John 3:16-21).

‘And professing to be wise they became fools, and changed the glory of You Father, who is the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man, and birds, and four-footed animals, and creeping things.’

Therefore, Father God, they left You no choice but to give them over to uncleanness of their hearts to dishonor their bodies among themselves, for they exchange Your truth, Lord God, for a lie, and chose by their own free will, served the creature rather than You, Father God, who is their Creator.’

And for this reason, Father, You gave them up to vile passions. And now we they who are in the world prefer to have same sex and bisexual relations which are, like all sins, that gratify the flesh, are an abomination in Your sight.

Father, we confess that the nature of humankind is rebellious against You and Yours ways, and do not want to retain the knowledge of You  who is our God, but on behalf of those of whom You had to give over to a reprobate mind.

Father, we approach You, in the Name of Jesus, that if there is anyone who reads this message, and are in need of a Savior, that You will  make a way for them to receive Your Son, Jesus, into their hearts.

Holy Spirit, we ask You to protect those whose eyes need to be enlightened through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Father, we ask that You to make a way to reach anyone who needs Your Son right here and right now while it is yet called day, then let it be so, for Your glory and honor we pray, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

The above message has been adapted from Romans Chapter One in conjunction with the New King James Version of the Bible.

    • Hi Dan C, yes He does, but only you can determine what You want to do in regards to God ….

      • If an atheist is someone who Says that God doesn’t exist, and God asserts in Rom 1 that all men know that God DOES exist, God doesn’t believe in atheists. Perhaps you missed the point.

        • For God so loved the world that He sent His One and Only Begotten Son that whosoever comes to believe in Him will not perish but will receive everlasting life …
Even atheists are getting saved today because the love of Christ is for whosoever will turn from their rebellious ways and repent … there are atheists who are being saved today and they know how to minister to other atheists … let’s face it, we ourselves didn’t believe until our eyes were opened, so isn’t their an bit of atheism in us all … leaves much to ponder upon … I have not right to say who is or who is not going to hell … God alone is the judge ….

          • Are you saying that the atheist has the atheist (or anyone for that matter) has it in his or her natural ability to come to Christ? That is simply not true. Yes, all those who believe in Christ will be saved. The use of “whosoever” in John 3:16 does not mean that everyone has the natural ability to do so. “Whosoever” is not in the Greek text. It simply says that the “believing ones” will be saved. Do I know who believes and who does not, really? No. I do know that those who don’t will one day be in Hell.

          • l can tell you that when l came to Christ that L had a sound mind and by my own free will submitted to Hs Lordship, and Christ knew that all would not come, so the whosoever refers to anyone who will come …as far as who goes to hell and doesn’t is between God and them, mine is to keep myself in check when it comes to my own personal relationship with the Lord … Merry Christmas

          • So you saved yourself! I thought that too until I found out that scripture has a LOT to say about the nature of fallen men and the state of their natural will. It was a humbling experience. The fallen mind might be sound, that is capable of thinking and reasoning, but it is in total bondage to sin, hates God, unable to please Him, blinded by Satan and unable to understand spiritual things. See Romans 8:7-8 and 1 Cor 2:14′ for starters. If they don’t mean what they say, wht do,they mean? Merry Christmas

          • No, l did not saved myself, I asked Jesus to cme into my life and show my how to live with Him guiding me by HisSpirit, do you take me for a fool, I humbled myself by my own free will and repented and asked God to forgive me for my rebellious and disobedient ways against Him… and I was sober in mind when I did so … what is key is that no one forced me to d so, so it was by my own free will

          • Will you read the scripture passages I provided an tell me what they mean, if not what they say? I respectfully suggest that if a natural human decision determines if one is saved, even though Christ died for our sins made salvation possible, it is man, in the end, who saves himself. It’s the only logical conclusion scripture affords me. Can you support this autonomous human free will from Scripture?

I do not doubt that you are saved, by the way. I encourage you to actually research scripture concerning the fallen human will. We have the technology.

          • it is by grace through faith in Christ Jesus one is saved, what I am saying is that God did not force me to do so, therefore it was my decision to freely accept or reject salvation through Christ …

          • God doesn’t force anyone to come to the Son, but at the same time, the natural man CANNOT please God. Did you read Romans 8:7-8 yet? The are only two kinds of minds – carnal (fleshly) or spiritual. The natural man has only a carnal mind and cannot please God. We don’t freely ‘give our hearts to Jesus’ We cannot, unless God does something that frees our minds and hearts to our helpless condition in sin, and when presented wth Christ as the substitute for our sin, the strongest desire we have is to run to the cross.

          • Rom 12:1-2 contains instructions to believers concerning their behavior, not the natural God hating state of the unbeliever. When you have read Rom 8:7-8 and 1 Cor 2:14 we can talk more. Jut tell me what they mean if it’s not what the words say.

          • Even Adam had a free will to either obey or disobey God’s command and look what happened… if Adam who was in created in perfection both spiritually and physically could make a decision by his own free will to disobey God, then doesn’t this principle apply to us today as well … by the way, when Paul wrote Romans 1:18-24, he was writing to those in his day who practiced Judaism … this passage goes much deeper than atheism as it refers to anyone who by their own free will chooses to disobey God … Jesus, by His own free will chose to be obedient until the point of death … so who we chose to obey or to disobey does involve as making a decision to either stay in sin or be set free from the curse of sin … and there are many who are sitting in church pews today who are still in danger of hell fire as well … I choose by my own free will not converse about this matter any longer … I hope all goes well with you in the New Year … take care and be safe … Shalom …

          • Think pre-fall and post-fall Adam. Find out what the Bible says about the will of fallen men. That’s what changed my mind about it. That’s all I can say.

          • My message to you is this … free will is free will and by my own free will I chose to obey God … Christ was obedient to the point of death and I choose by my own free to follow His lead is all I can say about the matter … but if there is one thing that cannot be denied was that Adam used his free will while in a perfect state … and any who choose to be ‘wise in their own eyes’ will bow to the Lordship of Jesus to the glory of the God the Father … have a peaceful new year …
